Two people on a recreational trail.
It rained a little last night, so we broke camp with some soggy tents. Dropped one car in Hanoverton and the second in Lisbon, then began hiking backwards. The day was sunny and lovely.

The first few miles were on the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail, a recreational trail that was blissfully flat. Lots of people were out enjoying the nice weather. Soon, though, we were back on roads, some quite steep.

Heading Out of Lisbon

The morning passed quickly. We had a snack break near some prisons, where I saw a tick on me. ICK. The first of the season. We plowed through another few hours so we could enjoy lunch at the Church of St. Philip Neri. Hikers are welcome to camp here. We ate our lunch on the church steps in the shade, Shipping container turned into lodging.only to discover later there was a picnic table in the back!

We reached our car by 3:15 – yay! – then drove to our lodging for the next two nights. It’s a really great AirBnB created from old trucking containers.

What should have been my most useful gear today: This Permethrin spray, which protects against ticks, and which I neglected to use today.
