Man eating giant hamburger
Gosh, Ed and I were so exhausted, we fell asleep around 8 p.m. Crazy!

I spent the morning agonizing about how to find an upcoming, popular road walk into Rawlins, Wyoming. Turns out I was getting confused because people online were citing mile markers used by those going SOBO, while my mile markers are set for going NOBO. Phew!

Relaxing on My Zero Day in Steamboat Springs

Once I got my upcoming hike more settled in my mind, Ed and I took the free bus here to a grocery store and a ski shop to get some food and more fuel. We had to go back and forth a bit, as I first went to Walmart, which was out of the fuel, then to the ski shop that had it, and that was close to the grocery store.

Back at the motel we did more laundry and I strategized about packing my backpack differently so it’s more comfortable. Not sure if that’s possible, but I sure hope so.

Last night we ate at the hotel restaurant, as it was convenient. Tonight we went to a burger place via the bus, then walked back. There are loads of walking paths here, so it was a lovely stroll.
